Met 46 tweedejaars nieuwelingen passeerden ze in Hever (Boortmeerbeek) de inschrijvingstafel. Vooraan kenden we een zeer spannende strijd voor de provinciale titel maar ook voor de dagzege. De Amerikaan Matthew Crabbe kon in de finale Bas Vanden Eynde achter zich houden. Bas volgt wel zichzelf op als provinciaal kampioen van Vlaams-Brabant. Matthew Crabbe: "I had a poor call up but was able to move into the first 4 wheels by the end of the first lap. From there, it was a tight battle in the front group that ended with me making a move just before the pits. I was able to hold onto a few bike lengths gap for the rest of the lap."
