De Amerikaan Liam Flanagan behaalde vandaag in Dilsen-Stokkem zijn 9e overwinning van het seizoen en zijn 3e solo zege.

"It was a very short but extremly fast.. From the gun there were attacks my teammates (Isaac Byrant, Kyle Kirby, Gianni Lamperti and Hunter Smith) and I tryed to get off the front multiple time but the pace was to high and we couldn't get a large enough gap to stay away. With 3 laps to go I saw that nothing was gonna be able to stay to the end so I tryed to race a little less aggressively and get a little energie back. In the last lap the pace was high and coming out of a corner the peloton let up a little and It was either go for the win or go for a top 10 in the sprint so I didn't think for a second and with 2km to go I went for it on the opposite side of the road that the peloton was on.. The final 2km were the hardest and most stressful i've ever ridin but to get a win here in Belgium is truly amazing, Sometimes if you want to win you have to be willing to lose, today it worked and I was able to sustain the gap all the way to the line.": tell Liam.
